Hosts

The Housing Platform is inviting you, Host, to solidarily host a Marineterrein student in need for temporary housing. Our students attend non-traditional study programs such as MSc MADE at AMS Institute and CODAM courses. As you may know, we live in a highly competitive city for housing stock and our students do not have access, or have very limited access to, traditional student housing stock like other students from UvA or VU, for example. This is the perfect recipe for a housing disaster. In addition, students of non-traditional courses have compete with the rest of Amsterdam in order to secure regular housing through social media platforms or Kamernet-like paid subscription websites. 

The Housing Platform wants to create a pool of hosts willing to welcome in-coming students at the beginning of their academic years (in summer or at the beginning of September), and/or hosting them later in the year in case of a housing emergency (e.g. students being in between houses, etc.). Our vision is to relieve stress and uncertainty levels in regard to housing for students thanks to a Marineterrein-based trusted network of hosts.
