Re-plex is believed to be a product that is able to contribute to the shift from a linear to a circular economy as well as the restoration of destroyed ecosystems. It is doing so by providing support to nature restoration efforts using materials that are fully waste- and bio-based.

 

By creating support structures that can help young aquatic plants find their roots, or organisms such as oysters and mussels to settle on, we can increase the success rate of nature restoration efforts. If these structures are fully biodegradable, there is no need to remove the structures once they become obsolete, which could disturb the environment that was just restored.
