The Process
This project was developed using a Living Lab approach. This means that is set in a real-life context, it involves the stakeholders in the creation of solutions and is focused on experimentation as a way to improve the final result.

The activities
The cornerstones of the research are interviews with experts, a literature review and data analysis.
The conclusions drawn from this research were tested and refined during a co-creation session with the stakeholders. All phases were developed in parallel.
Expert interviews
13 interviews with 15 persons were conducted to gain insights into the view of the stakeholders and the future plans everyone has for P+R.

Data analysis
Several data sources are used to gain a complete overview of the challenge and the possible solutions. GeoData was used to understand the reach of the system and calculate the catchment areas of several P+R case studies. Another critical data source is the MPN, which contains insights into the behaviour of travellers and their reasoning to use the car.

Co creation session
The stakes
The main stakeholders of the P+R system in the MRA (Metropolitan Region of Amsterdam) were present in the co creation session. Trough this session, the stakes of each one were mapped. There was also a moment to find collaboration tools and points of conflict.
