13 Final design sessions

Transferring the project to ARTIS and keeping it alive was always an important part of this living lab. In these final design sessions, the focus was on finding a way of transferring our knowledge to ARTIS and ensuring a workshop could be conducted without our presence. The initial plan was to conduct a test workshop with employees at ARTIS and be present the first time the real workshop would be held. Unfortunately, the outbreak of the coronavirus and the subsequent lockdown made these plans impractical. Therefore, we needed to be creative. To sustain the project, a script and a volunteer briefing were created on what has to be done for a papermaking workshop. While the script specifies everything ARTIS has to do before the workshop, which includes a material list, budget, and contacts of third parties, the volunteer briefing provides a step-by-step guideline on how the volunteers can best assist the participants of the workshop. Together, these documents ensure the workshop can be held at ARTIS for the foreseeable future.
