In order to understand the entire waste system in ARTIS, we needed to know more about the retail waste since the trash scan was mostly focussed at visitor waste. After meeting with their general manager and some employees, we researched possibilities of using retail waste streams for our cause. While the retail personnel was eager to be involved in our project, it turned out to be difficult to work with their waste streams.
