what we did

De Regenboog Groep is already operating in social vacancy management. Here you can read about there current projects regarding temporary housing. Besides these programs, they want to take a next step. We did a feasibility study to see how this next step can be shaped and what the possible value of it is. This feasibility study brings together a market analysis, an overview of operational aspects, an inside the laws and regulations regarding vacancy and several financial scenarios. Based on these different elements, we have formulated an answer to the uncertainties about the following phase.

outreach

We tried in two different ways to expand the outreach De Regenboog Groep already has. The first attempt was to contact the Homies foundation. This is a new idea by Steven Borghouts to connect homeless people to friend groups to create more social stability around them. This organisation showed a lot of interest in our plan and has a network with property owners that would want to collaborate in concepts like ours. The Homies foundation and De Regenboog Groep will further explore their partnership.

Another shot at approaching as many property owners as possible, is to publish a call for real estate to temporarily house economic homeless people. We have sent in a short piece of text to be published in a newsletter addressed to real estate owners that are subscribed to the organisation Vastgoed Belang. The (dutch) article can be found here.
